DEFINITIONS In this Act, unless there is anything repugnant is the subject or context,
a) "book" includes every volume part or division of a volume, and pamphlet, in any language, and every sheet of music, map, chart or plan separately printed or lithographed; (b) "document" includes also any painting, drawing or photograph or other visible representation; (c) ''High Court" means the Highest Civil Court of Appeal for any local area except in the case of the provinces of Ajmer-Merwara and Coorg where it means the High Court of Judicature for the North-Western Provinces and the High Court of Judicature at Madras respectively; (d) "Magistrate" means a District Magistrate or Chief Presidency Magistrate; (e) "Newspaper" means any periodical work containing public news; and (f) "printing-press" includes all engines, machinery, types, litho- graphic stones, implements, utensils and other plant or materials used for the purpose of printing.
