| Section Title | Title, Extent and Commencement |
(1) This Act may be called the Charitable Endowments Act,1890.
2. It extends to the whole of India,1 [except the State of Jammu andKashmir], 2 [* * *]; and
(3) It shall come into force on the first day of October,1890.
