Land Acquisition (West Bengal Amendment) Act, 1975 Complete Act - Bare Act

An Act to amend the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, in its application to West Bengal. WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, in its application to West Bengal, for the purpose and in the manner hereinafter appearing; It is hereby enacted as follows:

Section 1 Short title

This Act may be called the Land Acquisition (West Bengal Amendment) Act, 1975.

Section 2 Application of the Act

The Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act), shall, in its application to Wesl Bengal, be amended in the manner hereinafter provided.

Section 3 Amendment of section 23 of Act 1 of 1894

In section 23 of the said Act, sub-section (2) shall be omitted.

Section 4 Repeal and savings

(1) The Land Acquisition (West Bengal Amendment) Ordinance, 1975, is hereby repealed.

(2) Anything done or any action taken under the said Act as amended by the Land Acquisition (West Bengal Amendment) Ordinance, 1975, shall be deemed to have been validly done or taken under the said Act as amended by this Act as if this Act had commenced on the 25th day of January, 1975.
