THE UTTARANCHAL (THE UTTAR PRADESH EXCISE ACT, 1910) (SECOND AMENDMENT) ACT, 2003

PREAMBLE

An Act to further amend the Uttaranchal (The Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910) (Amendment) Act, 2002 in its applicability to the State of Uttaranchal

Be it enacted in the Fifty-fourth Year of the Republic of India as follows:--

Section 1 - Short title, extent and commencement

(1) This Act may be called the Uttaranchal (The Uttar Pradesh Excise Act, 1910) (Second Amendment) Act, 2003.

(2) It extends to the whole of Uttaranchal State.

(3) It shall be deemed to have come into force on June 24, 2003.

Section 2 - Deletion of certain part of sub-section (2) of Section 60 of the Act No. 16 of 2002

Deletion of following part of sub-section (2) of Section 60 of the principal Act:--

"or imports, exports, transports or possesses any charas".
