THE MADRAS COMMERCIAL CROPS MARKETS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 1980 [1]

(Act 2 of 1981)

An Act further to amend the Madras Commercial Crops Markets Act 1933

Preamble

.- WHEREAS it is expedient further to amend the Madras Commercial Crops Market Act, 1933, for the purpose hereinafter appearing;

BE it enacted in the Thirty-first Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1 . Short title and commencement .- (1) This Act may be called the Madras Commercial Crops Markets (Amendment) Act, 1980.

(2) It shall be deemed to have come into force on the 15 th day of November, 1980.

2. Amendment of section 11.- In sub-section (1) of section 11 of the Madras Commercial Crops Markets Act, 1933 (Madras Act XX of 1933) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Act), as in force in the Malabar district referred to in sub-section (2) of section 5 of the States Reorganisation Act, 1956 (Central Act 37 of 1956), for the Table, the following Table shall be substituted, namely:-

"TABLE

3. Repeal and saving .-(1) The Madras Commercial Crops Markets (Amendment) Ordinance, 1980 (7 of 1980), is hereby repealed.

(2) Notwithstanding such repeal, anything done or any action taken under the principal Act as amended by the said Ordinance shall be deemed to have been done or taken under the principal Act as amended by this Act.
