The Validating & Indemnity [Act] (Cochin), 1934 Complete Act - Bare Act

[Substituted for 'Regulation' throughout the enactment by Proclamation V of 1112.]

Whereas it has become expedient to ratify and validity certain actions taken in the name of the Ernakulam Municipal Council and also to indemnify and protect the individual who took such actions, it is hereby enacted as follows:-

(1) This Act shall be called "The Validating and Indemnity Act, X of 1109."

(2) It shall come into force at once and shall extent to the whole of Cochin and will have retrospective effect from 6 a. m. of the lst of Vrischigam 1109.

(1) All actions done by M. R. Ry, Parakkal Krishna Menon Avl. B. A., between the 1st and the 9th of Vrischigam 1109, both days inclusive, for and on behalf of the Ernakulam Municipal Council and in the Municipal Council's Name and on the bona fide belief and as if he were the duly constituted Chairman of the Municipal Council during the period, shall be valid and binding on all parties concerned, notwithstanding the fact that the individual in question may not have been the duly constituted Chairman of the Municipal Council during the period.

(2) No action, in Law, Civil, Criminal or otherwise, shall be maintainable against the aforesaid Mr. P. Krishna Menon for all or any of the acts done toy him within the aforesaid period and of the nature as specified in clause (1) above.
