Cantonments Act, 1924 Section 1

Section Text

(1) This Act may be called the Canton­ments Act, 1924.

(2) It extends to the whole of India ¹ [***] ² [***]

(3) The Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, direct that this Act, or any provisions thereof which it may specify, shall come into force on such date ³ [***]as it may appoint in this behalf.
